The basic supply to the CDC's equipment consists of:

Secure electric feeding 220V/50Hz with UPS and auto-generator group.
Simple network electrical feeding: 220V/50Hz without UPS.

Each equipment receives secure electric feeding, originated in two independent automatic switches, to provide electric redundancy.

There is also available a network electric switch that can be utilized to connect equipment that possess three electric feeding entrances, as well as those equipment that do not need high availability in its supply (fans, some screens, etc.)

The electric scheme combines the entrance to the network, UPS and electric generator group.

Two independent tension entrances can feed the UPS, one that originates in the public network and another from the generator group. It is this last one who carries out the adequate commutation so that the current entering the UPS originates in the indicated general or at the group. It takes this decision according to a "sign" or "witness" that indicates if electric supply current of entrance does exist or not.

When a cut of current happens, the group activates the electric switch to provide supply, and starts. The UPS deals with the starter and commutation time utilizing its battery power. The previously mentioned UPS system is composed by several equipment teams, each one fed by a part of the Center or by parallel connection.

UPS and air conditioning equipment count on their own differential and thermal-magnetic switches. The normal sewing will have two automatic switches by each two, that is, each sewing should carry two electrical sockets' extensions. This common use is only possible among shared sewing or sewing dedicated to the same client.

The type of differentials to utilize should be adequate and compatible with equipment of commuted feeding resources, those are the immunized type A. The sensibility, in these cases, is usually supplied in 300mA.

The complete system of generator's group, has 24 hours autonomy and the UPSs, somewhere around 10 minutes (enough for network commutation to generator group and vice versa).
