This zone is dedicated to clientele's equipment, sharing the firewalls in high availability.

It is a zone with two independent VLAN, protected by two redundant firewalls in fileover (CISCO PIX 520), and faced by two equalizers (ALTEON ACE director 3).
It is highly recommended to locate in this zone, servers of two Fast Ethernet ports, one for each VLAN, and to configure them in high availability.

In order to efficiently administer these dedicated systems, we have provided this zone' racks with a consoles' terminals' server (AVOCENT DS1800/DS416) that acts as a multiplexor and converter for each two units of rack. Thus, providing KVM (Keyboard, Video and Mouse) remote access to each pair, avoiding the need to install specific software for administration tasks.

Regarding scalability, to avoid possible saturation, we create a new identical lodging zone when the total bandwidth used by the clients, approaches 100 Mb/s.
